Orbital Cookies, Version 02, Game Menu

One surely planned to have some daily updates upon the progress of a new game started for the game jam.

Not with how difficult the overall implementation of mouse clicking on a string of text turned out to be.

Thankfully, when joining the Brackeys game jam, in order to get more experience under the belt and share a game that some might like, I did have a bit of a previously available codebase - it can be accessed at my other game, Sunset Floors, current version should be 0_11?

In any case, that also brings the point of myself believing in not using an optimised strat of just working on a limited-time game-jam project and only then continuing on with the first game ever published - seems like something that can be worked on at the same time.

Onto the the more pertinent musings - here's the sketch process of one of ship types that the main character, the daughter of a pirate Lady, now named Pershea. Available for the player, are, up-bottom, right left, a standardised space! battlecruiser, a converted space! light cruiser into an escort carrier, a cutting-edge space! destroyer, and an old and greying space! battleship, back when the turrets only rotated 90 degrees.

As for the code base - it's currently a working, but heavily commented-out not-working piece, which needs cleaning.

The game itself isn't really a game at this point, but just a foundation to build on, with now being able to choose a language, and to semi-reliably click through to the next piece of text.

Here's the finished piece of a spacebattlecruiser (assumed to be the standard player option) hanging low near a planetary orbit in space.

May Pershea actually get to the point where she would have some text of her own, look at fate with her own eyes)
